Job Description

Assist in patient care and other ward related duties as directed by and under supervision of the staff nurse. Respond quickly to patient’s request for assistance.
Assist with patient’s elimination, mobility, physical comfort, eating and drinking needs while observing and reporting any specific changes to the staff nurse
Assist the nursing staff to prepare surgical site as and when required.
Assist the nursing staff in bed making, sponge bathing and other hygienic activity of the patient.
Responsible for segregation of soiled linen as per infection control guidelines under the supervision of nursing personnel.
Assist in the maintenance of cleanliness in all areas including patient’s room within the unit.
Assist in the maintenance of supply and storage areas.
Act as a messenger when required.
Escort patients to and from Radiology Department as directed by nurse on duty.
To be responsible to act as a part of infection prevention and control programs.
Assist nursing staff in preparing/cleaning patient’s room for admission/discharge.
Participates in any scheduled educational activities
